地元農家のお母さん方の温かなおもてなし

田舎ごっつぉ（ご馳走）、自慢の野菜やお米を

ぜひ味わいください

※冬季（12月～3月）は休業となります。

We turn the old wooden house in the plateau of Iwayama village into a guest house and named it the "farmer guest house Hendon".

The sound of the hands of the old watch on this pendulum can make you feel comfortable, and you can feel it when you have a relaxing time.

In guest house, with assistance of local farmers' housewives, we prepare good dishes called" inakagotho "means country food for using of Iwasawa’s special agricultural products like boasted vegetables and rice  which recommended by us.

「へんどん」は、このお家の屋号

『平右衛門（へいえもん）』を短くして、『へんどん』と呼ばれています

それをそのまま民宿の名前としました

岩沢では、現在でもまだまだ屋号が広く使われ、

お互いを屋号の名で呼び合っています

「●●衛門」「○○兵衛」や、昔商売をしていたお家は「△△屋」、「角」や「中」に「三角」なども

中には「大明神」や「荒神様」など神様の名前の屋号もあります

色んなお家の名前を探すのも　面白いですね

Origin of the name of the guest house "Hendon"

"Hendon" is the name of this guest house, is called Yago. (means, a common name other than the surname given to each door of the homestead. They were distinguished by their ancestors' names, occupation names, and the relationship between home and branch.)

This guest house is called "Heiemon" from the old days, and made it shorten "Hendon"

We named it the name of a guest house

In Iwasawa, even now, Yago is widely used. When residents say hello for using Yago,

When the same name is taken over for generations, it is said that “●● Kaemon” and “○○ Bei” etc.

and A house that used to do business in the past was called by the name such as △Ya (house), Kado(corner), Naka(middle) or Misumi(triangle)

And there is also the name of the god such as "Daimejin" or "Aragami" in the name.

Like this, there are various Yago for the house in Iwasawa, and it is fun to know it
